Classrooms are filled with bored students taking advantage of their free time. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day routine of teaching, and forget the importance of connecting with the young minds you’re trying to help.
Teaching is a tough job. There’s never enough resources to help teachers, and there are certainly never enough hours in the day. So what are some classic TED talks that teachers can watch to get things done?
Here are five classic TED talks that we think all teachers should watch and share with their students, or better yet, watch them together in class and engage students in constructive discussion about their topics. The speakers are leading thinkers in their fields. Topics include motivation (Dan Pink), leadership (Simon Sinek), self-control (Angela Duckworth), the valley of death in education (Sir Ken Robinson) and believing in students’ potential (Rita Pearson).
